CSP Annual General Meeting

The CSP 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) is being held in person at 12.40pm on Saturday 12 October at the Manchester Central Convention Complex, where the annual conference is taking place. It is scheduled to last for around 45 minutes.

Register to attend the AGM*

The AGM is at 12.40pm on Saturday 12 October at our annual conference in Manchester.

Members are required to register in advance to attend and have their vote counted at the meeting. The deadline to register is 12pm on 10 October. You must register by this time to allow your membership status to be verified.

There are three ways you can take part in the AGM

  1. Register to attend in person and vote at the meeting.
  2. Register and appoint a proxy voter, who will vote on your behalf if you cannot attend in person.
  3. Register to watch virtually via a live broadcast, and appoint a proxy voter to cast your vote at the meeting. (Please note that you cannot vote or ask questions virtually on the day. The live broadcast provides the ability to observe the AGM proceedings only).

If you are not attending the annual conference but would like to register to attend the AGM only, and vote in person, please contact the CSP governance team who will help you to arrange this – email governance@csp.org.uk.

This will be our first in-person AGM since 2019, and I am looking forward to seeing members in real life again.

The AGM is being held within the lunch break on day two of the CSP’s Annual Conference, from 12.40 to 13.25 on Saturday 12 October for 45 minutes.

At the AGM, you will hear from Ishmael Beckford (chair of Council), John Cowman (CSP chief executive), Alex Mackenzie (vice-president) and myself (CSP president). We will share our thoughts on the highlights and upcoming priorities.

Message from Ishmael Beckford, CSP's chair of Council

The AGM is an important date in the CSP calendar for members to hear about the performance of the CSP and what we have achieved together. Members can send in questions in advance of the meeting via the registration form, about any of the resolutions and any aspect of the CSP’s and Council’s activities.

Details on how to register for the AGM, vote by proxy, and join the live broadcast have been shared above.

Below you will find details of the AGM agenda and all the relevant documents that will be referred to in the meeting, along with explanatory notes on the resolutions and some FAQs.
