Scottish government advice on vaccination access for independent healthcare workers

The Scottish government has now produced advice on how to access COVID-19 vaccinations for frontline independent health and social care workers in each of the health board regions

The guidance letter now provides further information, included in an annex, alongside further guidance on self assessment definitions and health board bank, agency & locum staff & health and social care students on placements.

Contact email addresses for independent health sector frontline staff are provided in an annex. Those who are eligible are advised to contact the email addresses provided for their health board.

The letter from Paul Hawkins, Director for Covid19 Vaccination Delivery, adds

" I would call on all individuals to consider their clinical risk eligibility prior to making contact with their local health board for vaccination."

Eligibility should be checked against the CMO list and JCVI definitions and guidance outlined in the letter.
