How to recruit new members
The most effective way to recruit is through personal, face-to-face engagement. According to the TUC, 84% of workers who aren’t part of a trade union have simply never been asked to join.
Speak to a colleague and ask them if they are a member of a union and if not, whether they have considered the CSP. Tell them why you are a member and the positives from your perspective
Don’t overlook new graduates, support workers, internationally trained staff, and physiotherapy students on clinical placement—they’re all potential members who can benefit from the CSP. You could raise the profile of the CSP to these groups at band 5 meetings, or during in-service training or employment days.
